22 Oct New Project Announcement: 8 80 Playbourhood

8 80 Cities is excited to announce that we have been awarded a grant from the Toronto Foundation’s Free to Play funding initiative for our 8 80 Playbourhood project!

The goal of the project is to increase opportunities for outdoor play for (and with) children and families living in Toronto Community Housing (TCH) communities through neighbourhood play activations.

We’re thrilled to continue our work with Toronto Community Housing, building on our partnership through the 8 80 TowerPOPS initiative.

Over the next year, we’ll work with residents and community partners in a pilot neighbourhood to reimagine existing spaces and assets in ways that invite more spontaneous, flexible, unstructured outdoor play into everyday routines.
